Who is Jammin Todd Edwards?? is he new? where was he before Wild 101?
 
He use to work there when it was the Planet.. did 98% of their LTA broadcasts. Been almost 10 years since then. I know he went under a different allias as Producer T and side kicked the morning show with Tom Allen "The Tominator" on Energy 108 b4 corus Ent. took over from the Evanov's Energy 108 format. I do believe he was doing privately mixed syndicated shows at one time. I had the pleasure of talking to him at one of his club gigs which i do believe he still does. I listened to him last night... he stated that he had to break into the wild studios for a reunion party LOLOLOLOL! This dude is crazy!

The Evanov's Energy 108 format?...what about Dance 108? Or did I just go too far back?
Getting very technical, it wasn't known as corus back then, it was actually still Shaw, I believe...
 
Shaw/Corrus.... same crap.. and another PRIME example of a problematic area with Radio and big corporations dictating what should appeal to the masses, they had it all wrong. They blew that station format (Which was known for being a legendary pioneer dance station) so far out of the water it wasnt funny.

Speaking of "Being Technical" Dance 108 and yes Energy 108 were both Owned and operated By Burlington Broadcast INC., before "Shaw/corrus" which Bill Evanov was apart of, with a group of other investors. Sorry I feel the need to be technical again... While soaring ratings Bill seperated from Burlington Broadcast to venture into CKDX back in the 90s, which was known as Hot 103.5fm then changed to Z

I do very much apreciate your presence here, but there is an error (hey? we're only human! :) )

CKDX was 1480 AM,(CKAN prior to that) which moved to 88.5 FM, and eventually fell into the hands of the Evanov radio group.

The station you speak of, is actually CIDC 103.5 FM (as in "Dufferin communications"...DC 103.5 fm "The heartbeat of Ontario", if you go back further.) the call letters remained CIDC FM when they were slowly shifting into the new Hot 103.
They were DC103 by day, and Hot 103 by night (and possibly weekends too) until it eventually became a 24/7 Hot 103five FM.

Don't forget "Hits 103five" right after Hot, and just before Z.
There was already a "HTZ FM" in St. Catherines Ontario, but that's another story...
(I'm not commenting on how the two stations may or may not have been confused in the BBM diaries...)

Yes CKDX was Power 88.5 (Dance form) then to The Cat @ 88.5 (Country) then to Foxy 88.5 (Currently)

Yes I remember when CIDC when it was purchased from Dufferin and changed to Hot 103.. gosh going back a long time... no wonder I screwed it all up LOL!

Hey guys... I know you consider the Buffalo-Niagara Falls-Rochester board your pied-à-terre... but with all the "C" call letters in this thread, don't you think it might be better suited for the Toronto board? I mean, really... the conversation here really isn't au fait with Buffalo and Western New York posters.

i catch the part NIAGARA FALLS Here, that is the form heading NIAGARA FALLS and we are in Niagara falls. because the "c" huh, if we were in the Toronto then we would be in the wrong form... Thats like asking Rochester to post in NY CITY i would guess.... you know what they say dont like the show, change the channel...

I think Yezi got the humor in Radknowski's post, especially the French part, but you took it too seriously. I thought the "C" and "W" comparison was funny. Mike's been posting on this board since the day one... when cart machines had clutches. He just has a unique sense of humor. Laissez-faire, eh?
 
You know what drives me nutso, is the fact when I was driving up by Pearson International Airport, watching the planes take off, I was listening to 101.1 in the Falls... lots o skip goin on there but still, the fact is you can still hear it no problem.. sure a little stomp, but Im sure the CRTC is out to make money just like any other lottery corporation, so they hand out licences like drivers licenses @ the Ministry. They surely need to do an "in field research" b 4 giving any licence out to possibly eliminate bleeding or stomping of frequencys. This 101.3 frequency was in-audible when I was passing by the airport... something is definately wrong here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Toronto radio station that is not even serving Toronto because the Crtc is saying they can only use a CB antenna for their stick! <---- sarcasim folks..... (here comes the retorical politically incorrect responses) :D 8)

As far as the board postings? Get a grip.. seriously!!!! You guys fret about the littlest things my gawd! :-\

I think you speak of Mississauga Ontario? Pearson is not actually in Toronto.
For something similar to 101.3, that area is served by 1320 CJMR.

Isnt Toronto the whole aspect of the GTA or did you forget the amalgamation? ???  "GTA" is "the Greater Toronto Area".. but when you look at the CN tower from the 401, you would think... boy if i was only on Jarvis street I could get the station.. thats a load of crap.... the CRTC issues licences to anyone with $,$$,$$ to pay for their licence.  Its a cash cow just like the lottery corporation.  Just like Energy 105.1 serves Toronto, but you get them stomped by The 105.1 the river till you hit younge street then the signal cranks past Pickering.. Im not sure what you are getting at.....  ???

I dont think the average shmoe is thinking of.. ok, well Im driving past the Airport which is Mississauga sooooo..... lets tune into this or that station.  People want a clear conscise signal or else its a tune out factor. 

The fact of the matter, The CRTC needs to do Field tests before they issue licences for stations.  As densly populated and over saturated the southern Ontario Market is, they also need to look at frequencies used up from the American Side to!  Nothings worse then listening to a station and its flipping back n forth cause someone NEGLECTED to do their particular area market research.

Seriously, the Mega city of Toronto(formed in 1997) is the former cities of Scarborough, North york (The little apple city...I miss that :'( ) Etobicoke,
The former borough of East York, ("Canada's only Borough" :'( I miss that too...) and the former town of York.

The CITY of Mississauga may very well have the world's oldest Mayor as we speak. (I kid you NOT!...a very good one too.)
(yes, this does mean Toronto and Mississauga have their own seperate Mayor)
 
He Was on 10pm to midnight, but that changed last week and a new female voice is on there, I would except to see Todd Appearing on the weekends soon, and also during the daily old school throw back. The week he did 10pm to midnight was a test run, i would guess.....?

Still awaiting on my US citizenship so I can be hired at a Canadian Radio Station.. So stay tuned!! haha! :D

I was on 10-12a as a try out and will be awaiting further instruction... I’m sure someone will keep yahs posted on the on goings, since I think there's a leak on these boards LOLOL! But that would be the under the first amendment which is binding and holds so true here :p
