What's behind the WBZ TV Channel 4 change in replacing Todd Gutner as Chief Meteorologist with Eric Fischer?

Seems like Ch. 4 has been marginalizing Todd Gutner for the past couple of months. Last year he did a segment on gardening which was very interesting but nothing this year.

Frankly, this new guy is a lot like Todd Gutner with more hair and with one eye lid [ his left] that is off center.

Who the hell knows what goes on in the decision-making process at broadcast outlets as far as on-air talent goes. It seems that more than ever, beauty is the first, second and third priority. I'm not saying that is the reason for the change here, and there may be personal reasons behind this, but my point is that talent and intelligence have very little to do with who's on camera. If it did, someone as experienced and skilled as Barry Burbank would not be relegated to weekend mornings and fill-ins.
 
Yes, Don Kent would never make it today. Only a slight improvement from the days of "The Weather Girl" like Jane Day.
