I am looking to connect with Todd who worked I believe at WMAJ in St. College in the early 70's. I lived there and managed the Shoe Dept of the old Penn Traffic store.

We became friends through my advertising on the radio. If anyone has an email or phone # for him, please forward it to me at [email protected].

I used the name Mike the Bike, because after Missouri upset Notre Dame ( I moved there from MO) I had to much to drink and wreck Todd's son's bike. Damned near killed myself. Didn't feel a thing. But I became known on the radio as Mike the Bike

Any help would be appreciated.

Mike, if you find him, please let me know, too. Todd's a good old friend of mine. I tried to track him down not long ago, but had no luck. We worked together at KOOL 94.9 & 99.3 in Harrisburg. Last I saw him, he was living in suburban Harrisburg, but I'm not sure if he is still here or not. Last year's Harrisburg phone book showed him at the house I thought he still lived in, but this year's book does not list him. I do know of someone who is on-air here that probably knows how to find him, but I don't want to give a name here. Sorry that I cannot be of more help, Mike.
______________

If you Google "Tod Jeffers", you'll come up w/ his personal web page. The old guy w/ grey hair is Tod. The nose and additude are the same. He's doing mornings on a news-business talk AM, WKKX I think. In any case, the web page has an email address.

As of this post, Tod's site is down (I forgot that he spelled it with one 'd'). I just dropped him a note at [email protected]. Hopefully, it will get to him. Mike, maybe that address will work for you; although, if the site is down, I'm doubting that the e-mail will get to him.
______________

The Pittsburgh Radio & TV website; www.pbrtv.com says Tod moved from mornings to the 12-3 PM shift on WKKX. The station has a website; www.wkkx.com, but it's all about the new morning man named Bloomquist. It used to have a lot of info on all the staff, including Tod. There is a message box on the website, maybe you can get a note to him there.

Mike the Bike, great news! That e-mail address that I gave above works. Tod wrote back and he's happier than ever. He gave me phone numbers, too. Drop him a note. He's waiting to hear from you!
______________

I worked with Tod in the 1970's, anchoring mornings while getting my degree at Penn State.

Two stories:

1. Tod convinced me to skip school and go across the parking lot to the movie theatre to see "Airplane". Five days in a row.

2. One morning, I looked up from writing the next newscast to see Tod, by then in his 30s or better, with a young and well-endowed woman on his knee. He stuck his head in the newsroom and said, "She's a national-class gymnast, but she's got world-class yabos."

Great radio guy and the greatest degenerate (said with admiration) I ever met.
