tom 107.5 fm changes to talk

radio info music fans,
i listen to alot of internet because the knoxville tennessee is not good at all. first place is always wivk 107.7 fm in the radio ratings. this is a country station and country music is something i do like. wivk is radio numbers are so big the other stations just dont care as long as they make some money. i found tom 107.5 about 3 months ago and i really like what i hear so i listen to them about 3 times a week. now i find out
today that they changed to talk. :'( sorry 107.5 but i hate talk radio  and wont listen to talk radio or you until you changed to music.

This is one more domino in the inevitable total move of talk to FM, and, sadly, the eventual end of the AM band. Talk kept AM alive another 20 years, but what is out there now in programming that could possibly create a new AM renaissance? Ask any 13 or 18 year old about AM radio and they most likely will answer you with "What's that?"

Add the Congressional threats about more $$$$ in royalties having to be paid by radio to artists/writers, and it will simply make more economic sense for stations to take underperforming FMs and either take them talk or simulcast one's existing AM station (which has happened recently in Atlanta, Albany, and now C'Ville....).
