Was picking up a very strong signal on 92.9 this morning, I thought it was WRDX, but they are Classic Hits, and have a very weak, if any, signal in Philadelphia, this station was playing many urban cuts and general older Rock. They called themselves TOM-92.9, playing anything they want, sounds familiar....never heard any ads to pinpoint them or any COL. Still have them on now with no mention of location....
 
I just did a search and TOM 92.9 IS WRDX Smyrna DE !! They dropped "The River" apparently. I used to listen to 94.7 but the 92.9 signal didn't reach here very well. Now 94.7 WDSD blocks 94.7 WTGB so I can't get WTGB HD2 which is HFS2.
 
Thanks for the info, was their a mention of any power increase, or maybe just a tropo or big skip today, from what I recall, they piggyback on the DSD tower but with less power and height...
 
I didn't read anything about a boost but they HAD to have increased it! After I posted this morning I had to do some running and I tuned 92.9 in. I'm in North East,MD and it came in LOUD and CLEAR. It was just as strong as Clone Channel's Radio1045 or Channel1043 was. Now if only a Modern/Alternative station was boosted around here.
 
There was tropo this morning. It should not normally be making it up to Philly.
When I was on my way back from DC on Saturday night, I could pick up 95.5 PGC, 96.3 WHUR, and Mix 107.3 up to the Delaware border. Also, some classical station was interfering with Super 91.7 from the DE/MD border up to exit 2 on I-95.

WRDX flipped to "Tom" last October. They're still chugging along at 1.7 kw.
 
I can get WPGC in Cecil county most places. Not crystal clear but recievable. Mix107.3?? Way up here?!?? Yeah no doubt a tropo. I never get 107.3 here. Also not WJFK,WTGB or DC101. I do however still get Grasonville's WRNR about as well as I got WHFS Grasonville. On the Philly side I get MMR,YSP and XPN pretty clearly. Radio1045 good in eastern Cecil. Used to get Y100 in most of Cecil but hardly ever WDRE when it was in Philly. Cecil county is a weird area for FM. Of course here you can get WXCY on a metal grate or your toothbrush....they must have a John Deere spreader welded to the top of that tower. If I ever hit the lotto I'm buying and flipping it HARD. Oh well a guy can dream huh?
 
wxcy will be running graffiti radio on their hd-2 later this year...they have a nice site, passed it a few years ago outside of harve de grace very close to the susque river well kept tower and property....

I grew up in Havre de Grace and just can't ,even now, accept it as home to a Country powerhouse. Growing up it was a Rock town...Rock n Roll Oldies,what now is Classic Rock...just ROCK! We used to climb the cliffs near the tower,crazy kids.

Seriously this sounds like late 80s,early 90s WHFS. And this is going to be on WXCY HD2?? I've been wishing 103.7 would flip to Alternative for years!! I guess I'll be buying an HD radio after all. With 93.7 loud and clear to the east and XCY to the west I'll get a lock either way! And of course 88.5/88.7 HD2 Y Rock. THANK YOU Oasisrulz!! HAVRE DE GRACE ROCKS!!!! or will soon :p
