Tom Brady Retirement

Or, more accurately, congrats to Gisele Bündchen for Tom Brady's life after the NFL. The way he worded his retirement statement makes it almost certain that Gisele had more than a little input into his decision. As they say, "Happy wife, happy life." 😆

Stop the presses! Tom Brady has just announced he is UN-retiring and returning to the Bucks

My sports radio station says: "Tom Brady is like the pretty girl who needs to be told every day that she's still pretty." That sounds right.

Probably didn't think he got a sendoff that was big enough, with enough fawning and non-stop attention to fit his ego. Once the "Will he or won't he" and "Oh, please don't go Tom" hype and frenzy went away, he probably decided to make today's announcement to get back in the limelight he craves.

Toward the end of last season Ben Rothlisberger's (sp?) retirement stole a bit of his thunder, and he probably would've liked to have seen a Superbowl win be his "swan song" and perhaps he thinks one more season may give him that chance? Ya never know. Wasn't it Bret Farve who retired to great fanfare and then un-retired years ago?

I agree. He was sort of rushed into it when ESPN came out before the Super Bowl that he decided to retire. Then a couple days later, he gave the official announcement. And I'm betting he's had remorse every day since. Peyton Manning did it the right way.

Manning could no longer throw the football. His skills were gone. The Broncos were lucky to win that Super Bowl with great defense and a running game. Brady made the "retirement" decision too soon after a close playoff loss. He obviously had to time to reevaluate.

Brady will keep playing until his body won't let him. He had MVP numbers last year, so his skills are still intact. Winning another Super Bowl is never a guarantee, but Brady enjoys the challenge. He'll walk away from football when he literally can't walk. He's the GOAT.

People who are jealous of his success say Brady is an "ego maniac". His years in New England don't support that. He took less money to help the team win...
