Tom Brookshier

Sad to hear that Tom Brookshier died last night at age 78...

...I worked with Tom (and Bill Hart and Tom Crane) on the morning news show on WCAU (now WPHT) in Philadelphia way back when (1970-71, if memory serves). Tom was a very nice guy and a great sportscaster! An All-Pro on the field and on the air! We had many "discussions" about our favorite NFL teams: the Eagles (his) and the Redskins (mine, having grown up in the DC area). -- Bill Stabler

I remember Tom mostly from when he did the morning show on WIP, following the switch of 610 from an AC music station to Sports.

At his retirement party, he took a hammer to his alarm clock. He was looking forward to sleeping-in!
