Tom Byrne out at WILM?

He has not been on this week, replaced on sportscasts by Dover guy, Phil Felicanegline (sp?). He is also not shown on the WILM website. Another ruthless cut by the schmucks at CC?
 
From a recent chat with some folks at CC, he is, indeed, out at WILM. The circumstances are not being discussed, but the impression that I got was that it was Tom's decision to leave. I think they were looking to have someone do more of a news and sports blend, which didn't fly.
 
Tom is working at WHYY full time (he's been doing part time sports there for about 10 years).

From what I hear, it's a blend of news and sports (he didn't want it at WILM?), but weighted to sports.
 
We talked about Tom leaving WILM a few weeks ago on The Radio Racket.

Tom did indeed leave on his own and went to WHYY full-time. I didn't get any indication from him that there were any problems with the folks at WILM. I think it just came down to the fact that he got a better offer from WHYY.
