Taps is the bugle song they play during burial ceremonies, or to mourn the dead. Obviously, he meant that Finneran's show is destined for burial.

I kinda got that after I thought about it... I was looking for serious replies, however. But, I find that w/ Tom, most folks either "Love him or hate him"; there is no middle ground. ::)
