I heard on 106.7, Tom-FM yesterday that they are moving to 94.9, which is obviously a stronger signal, on August 17. What will happen to 94.9 FM's programming?
I just looked at 94.9 FM's website. They are moving to 106.7, so the two stations are just switching frequencies. This is a win win for Tom-FM. I believe that 94.9 has a strength of about 85,000 watts, so more people can obviously listen.
i wonder what will happen to 94.9's audience since they do very well in the ratings. Will the 106.7 signal hold on to the Gospel listeners. Will the signal cover all of those folks? I wish we had a TOM-FM here in NWA. Our radio her is awful, and XM is starting to get bad. I am thinking about getting rid of XM as well. I wish TOM FM well on 94.9. It will do well.
Wasn't KHKN 106.7 on the list of stations that Clear Channel was going to spin off? Is this still the case? If so, it makes the frequency swap ever so much more interesting, no?
