Tom Gamble, are you high or something?

Tom was screaming tonite on 700 for UC to hire Colerain High coach Kerry Combs to replace Dantonio. C'mon Tom I dig your act but did Kerry pay you to rant like that tonite? If its true that Furman goes to the new Supertalk, Geez it'll be a shoutfest at night between Tom and Andy.

Hey don't get me wrong....Gamble brings up good points (at times) when he's not RANTING, YELLING call it what you will. He must have gotten some good coinage for that one. Maybe some meds would help?

It's true Tom can get a wee bit excited. But that's Tom. He's been this way ever since TKR's "The Press Box" when he was on with Chris Gramke and Richard Skinner and Don Weber.

The difference last night was, oh, say the same as Andy Mac talking about Xavier or the Stingers. I believe Tom went to high school at, ahem, Colerain, but, I think his point was logical. It would be like 15-20 years ago and Pat Mancuso from Princeton or Gerry Faust at Moeller would be mentioned.

I will say one thing though, Tom needs to tone the loudness/over modulation into the microphone. Furman had the patent and trademark on that and turned off a lot of people. As someone close to me once said, "you can make a point without yelling".

Over-modulation is not the thing that is bothering you...the guy just needs to blow his nose really bad. Or get that surgery for a deviated sceptum.... DO SOMETHING! He is the most nasal sounding radio voice since Wildman Walker, but at least Wildman tried to do something about it. It also might help for these guys to realize that sports is absolutely insignificant in this world and therefore not worth getting so excited as to scream into the mic.
