Tom Haley Passes Away

Longtime friend Tom Haley has passed away, he was a longtime television host on WKYC TV 3 in Cleveland. I would like to pass along a letter he sent to me a couple of years ago:
It reads:
"Radio has always been my first love. I started out as a page boy for NBC in Radio City. Then as a announcer for WSAN in Allentown, PA. Then onto WRC in Washington, and finally as a announcer for WTAM in Cleveland.
When NBC put Television station WNBK on the air in Cleveland, radio had prepared me well for the transition. I have retired after a long life filled with radio and television memories and for now I have discovered Public Radio which carries quality broadcasting---the way it use to be...even though I still itch to get back on the air like the old radio days, I know my time now is thinking about the fun I had while on the air. best of all, you have chosen a fascinating subject by keeping the history of my radio days alive---all the best, your radio friend, Tom Haley"

That was nice..
Tom Haley will be missed..A gentleman and a class act. Am in the process of working on a Cleveland Classic Media Post about Tom's Career..will have it up by morning..
