Tom Haynes to join FOX 5

According to this website (http://www.exigi.com/fltv/2007/11/20/tom-haynes-to-waga/), Tom Haynes of WSVN in Miami is joining FOX 5 to anchor the 11 pm news. WAGA is apparently preparing to produce an 11 pm newscast called 'NewsEdge' soon. Fox O&O's around the country (like WTVT Tampa Bay and WTTG D.C.) have already introduced NewsEdge programs.

I also hear that WAGA will be introducing a weekend morning news program. I'm not sure if it will be an extension of the Good Day franchise, or if it will be a news only program like Channel 2.

I suspect since Russ anchors the 5, 6 and 10 PM newscasts, they needed someone else to anchor it.

I am not familiar to how Fox is doing their "NewsEdge" programs, but I suspect it will be a solo anchor program. I suspect it will have a faster pace than what WAGA is doing now.

Any word on who will handle weather and sports duties? I don't imagine Ken Cook wants to stay up any later to delver the same forecast. I could see Ken Rodriguez sticking around since he doesn't do a sports report during the 5pm hour (that's assuming there is a sports report during News Edge)...
