Tom Kent on Big Hits

It's taking a long time for Tom to appear on Y-100.9.In the meantime a voice from the past filling in this week,Chris Mac,(C. Mac)former WIGY'er.
 
Seems as though they're all wearing several hats at PRG these days. Sign of the times, I guess.

Speaking of PRG, I heard Coast running "The Best of Tim & Eva" during this past vacation week. Self aggrandizing, much?

Lastly, I see Big Hits is trying to hype Chuck Igo for Best Radio Personality in the PPH/MST Readers' Poll (the way things are going for them they ought to rename it Reader Poll). All I can say is, I hope it wasn't your idea, Chuck. That is soooooo tacky. Having the Captain & Mark lobby for Best Fried Clams title was amusing back in the day, but there is still such a thing as human dignity. If a "Best Of" title is so important to a jock, or more likely the station's ownership, at least be subtle about it. Just quietly stuff the ballot box. You'd probably only need to sumit a couple of dozen bogus ballots to tip the scale. Response has always been crappy. Besides, the Readers' Poll jumped the shark years ago. If you can't wait to read the results, just look up the outcome for any of the last 5 years. Best Maine Politician? Spare me. Let's all vote for Hannibal Hamlin.
