Tom Lazar leaving WZOK

Tom Lazar Heads To SoCal
CUMULUS Top 40 WZOK/ROCKFORD Dir./Programming TOM LAZAR has resigned his post, effective JULY 6,[EDIT]

I wish Tom all the best. I am very happy that he got out while he could!

Lazar is a class act and a good broadcaster. He will be tough to replace. Any speculation on why he's hitting the road?

I can't imagine why anyone working for Cumulus would want to hit the road. LOL. Maybe the parade of people that left before Tom know something. I'm sure they are all disgruntled workers. Funny how that company manages to take good ethical people and turn them into ungrateful, worthless employees isn't it... ???
Good for you, Tom! Sunny days, with a cloudless sky are ahead, buddy.

Hey Blowmonkey...do you think radiogeek has some 'inside information' regarding Lazar? My thoughts are Lazar always worked for Scary-Mary anyway and now he just said 'enough'.

Tom did a great job at 97ZOK. I am honored to have worked for him and have the opportunity to gain much knowledge and more understanding of how radio work. I wish the best for him!

JB Love, this is the first positive comment I seen you post on this board. It's much nicer than your last thread when you were ripping all of the engineers in radio.

Not to take away from Tom's success at WZOK. I want to clear up the "bashing" that I did towards all engineers. That is HIGHLY inaccurate. I have much respect for Michael Hayden (our previous engineer) and John Huntley (our current engineer). I am young and new to the business, I have much respect for those that have been doing it for years. I have this account, and this account only, I've had it since I've been in radio. I would never badmouth someone I work with, worked with, or worked for. Especially on a RADIO message board. That could be career suicide. So for those of you that think I'm that guy that was talking trash about engineers, and hiding behind a random username... you must not know the "inside scoop".
