According to the "The Tom Leykis Show" Facebook page (which Tom himself updates), "The Tasting Room" will be returning to the Los Angeles airwaves! Thank goodness! My best guess would be KFWB...

I would check it out. There aren't too many radio superstars on the airwaves anymore. I just hope that it won't be all dating advice.

I guess you're not aware that "The Tasting Room" has little to do with dating advice. The Professor thinks he knows all there is to know about quality alcoholic beverages (mostly wine) and will tell his listeners that. That's the show, not Leykis 101.

Yeah, as much of a Leykis/KLSX fan I was, the wine show was boring. I enjoyed hearing Joe Escalante talk about wine...

I totally agree with a few other posters. Leykis' talents lie in regular talk and not in talking about wine. That was pure boredom. I even wonder if this is now a paid type of show since nearly all stations have weekends clogged up by every sort of snake oil salesman selling his wares.

The way I understand things Tom is still under contract and being paid by CBS. This could be a warm up for a full return on KFMB, CBS would be stupid not to use him somehow if they are still paying him. I just hope if he does comes back it's more like KFI style Tom, he could really do a number on John and Ken.

The Leykis page always seemed to be legit in that he plugged that URL during his show & even mentioned threatening legal action against myspace to take down an "impostor page" back in the myspace glory days. I guess you never really know do ya?

Well, I can't do it with Rush because there already is an official page. Find me a popular radio personality who doesn't have an official page and I'll create one just to show you I can do it.

I became a casual Leykis fan in 1996 while hosting nights at a station in Florida. We ran "Imus in the Morning" which just happened to be on the same satellite channel as Leykis' syndicated show. 7PM Florida time = 4PM California time. So, when I had a segue of relatively long songs going, I'd throw the "Imus" pot in audition and listen to Leykis. Good stuff!
