Steve Eberhart

According to REELRADIO.com, Tom Murphy died in December (2012).
Real name Thomas C. Roche, he was 78.

He and Chapman were orginally "Murphy & Harrigan" before "Charlie & Harrigan" at KLIF 1190 Dallas.

He left KLIF and went over to KBOX for a while, eventually ending up in Los Angeles and San Diego.
 
According to the goodguy.com website, he's still doing 9-noon Pacific Time on the online version of the old KISN Portland. I would have heard otherwise.
