Tom Prestigiacomo

I just visited the FM 100 website, and Tom Prestigiacomo is nowhere to be found. That's a shame, too. I used to live in West Tennessee back in '81 (Jackson) and one of my favorite things to do would be to listen to FM 100. I remember the days of Tom, Memphis Mike Murphy and Andy Parks...what great radio that was! I hope wherever Tom goes, he has as much success as he did at FM 100. Rock on.

Jockamo

hummm....but his is still around

It appears that his name has also been removed from the Peabody Rooftop Party info on the website. Lance Ballance has been inserted.

School

If Lance is permanently on afternoons, then my dial is permanently somewhere else after Jill gets off the air.... Listening to him is like listening to a teenage Peter Brady to a radio show... I'm sure it's just a corporate cost cutting measure... And it's a shame that a station that was once as great as FM100 has to be killed by the number crunchers....

A piece of advice for Lance:

You don't want to be the guy following the legend. You want to be the guy that follows the guy that was after the legend.

Don't plan on being in the seat for too long!

Well, he's the PD, so unless Entercom is making him take that slot, he won't be there long.

Remember the storm that surrounded Debra Norville when she replaced Jane Pauley on The Today Show? It can't be an easy position in which to find one's self.

Well, I guess I was wrong. Entercom wasn't smart enough to keep him in the family! Congrats to Tom for being the new afternoon stud on KIM FM!....wonder if he needs a sidekick??? ;) :-\

Wow...with an opening on WRVR in the same slot. I think they are gonna really regret that.

Congrats, TP!

Did I miss something? Is he at KIM in afternoons now?

No offense.....but learn to read up. :-\

Sorry Peach. I thought you said he was going to The River. Read up. What a concept.

How does an afternoon mainstay (28+ years) dissappear from drive-time radio and after a month there be no mention at all in the hometown newspaper? (Of course someone is about to reply to this with the date and page number after I hit the send button.) :)

The Commercial Appeal needs to find a media writer to replace the late Tom Walter badly.

Maybe Tom needs to go drinking, not pay bills or get in a spirited discourse with a member of the Ford family.

I'm sure he would make the front page.

Hey Peach,

Has a start date been announced? Nothing confirming his move on KIM's website yet.

I've spoken with him at several functions in town and he is the epitome of class.

Best wishes in his new endeavor.

He still has a job?!?!

Hmmm!!

Well, I can't remember if I was allowed to say or not, but it will be this month. :-X And I am just as surprised that this has yet to make the paper.

just looked at the website

"98.9 KIM FM welcomes Tom Prestigiacomo on air on
Monday, August 20th at 3pm. Join him every weekday from 3-7pm only on 98.9 KIM FM! "

and programing....best of the 80's 90's and Today

Hmmm....I'd be willing to be that now that it is officially on the website, the CA story won't be far behind.
