Tom Snyder RIP

Tom Snyder has died. He was 71. Old timers will recall, long before he was host of "Tomorrow," Snyder worked at WSAV-AM (now WBMQ) in Savannah.
I don't know if Snyder was appreciated at WSAV but as host of "Tomorrow," he was one of the best interviewers ever to grace the TV airwaves.

Back in 1990 when he hosted "The Radio Show" on ABC Talkradio, a caller from Savannah, GA (my ex-home) did mention the call-letters of WBMQ-AM 630 (At the time
was making the transition from Oldies to News-Talk) and Snyder remember that it used to be WSAV-AM, the station where he got his start at. Oh, by the way, that caller was not me.

The Late Late Show had a retrospective for him last night. Craig Ferguson himself appeared to be welling up upon announcing his death.

Anyway, Tom Snyder wasn't really my cup of tea, but no doubt he was a fantastic radio/TV personality and will be sorely missed. I fired up a few colortinis last night in his honor. :D
