Tommy Frank

Just read on All Access that Tommy Frank passed away, due to health problems. IIRC, Tommy was the PD at Kiss 102.3 for 1993-94, before KRZ took it over.

I believe he was also at WAYV and Q102 Cincinnati. He had just helped launch a new top 40 in Ithica this week.

Sadly, he was just 42. He was a young broadcaster when he was a first time PD at 102.3.
Sort of in an aggressive " Jacor-esque" way he breathed some life with sharp imaging and guerilla marketing tactics into what had become the # 3 CHR in the market with the birth of WBHT.The station didn't have the ownership support to be competitive, and with it's pea-shooter 3kw signal, it was limited beyong his understanding at that time.
He did a good job.May he R.I.P.
