When you ( jd426 ) described the Tommy G show with hookers, wacky callers, stalkers, etc. I thought you were describing the Howard Stern Show. Howard makes 75 million, not bad for showcasing hookers, wacky and strange individuals. Also, yelling is good many talk show hosts do it for effect. According to your description of the Tommy G show it was clearly an entertaining show
The last time I heard Tommy G. he had Carla Katz on. Carla Katz is a New Jersey news maker and a person of interest who made a list I saw recently of the top 100 influential people in NJ. ( I believe Jim Gearhart and Eric Scott also made that list. ) I thought Tommy G. came across as very intelligent and asked Carla relevant questions that judging from the caller's questions and comments they wanted to hear about. He engaged Carla Katz in an informative, humorous and interesting dialog which I found extremely entertaining. I failed to hear any hookers, freaks or weirdo’s when I listened in. I heard a radio professional Tommy G. doing a good radio program along with Carla Katz adding excitement and knowledge to the airwaves of New Jersey.
I also like the Michelle Jerson show when I hear it. She has nice, friendly and interesting conversations with her listeners. You ( jd426) may not like her topics, voice or personality but apparently her many callers do as well as I.

As far as Obama & that SILLY Cowbell , it was like Tommy was Campaigning for him & it was over the top IMO. And the person who called our previous pres a Hill**** , well that just shows where you are coming from, but thats fine. I am not offended by it.

What WAS offensive, is allowing callers to call white people "crackers" on the AIR , even if its directed at himself , same as if a white person were to use the N** word talking to a black person on air.

Tommy G was against Obama right up to the election. He only said who he voted for after the election. A lot of what you're writing is false and vindictive. You keep harping that he was did in when his boss stated in writing that it was budget cuts and he won't be replaced. I never noticed anything you are writing about and I don't care. I do know Tommy G was very entertaining and a stand up guy. He did a lot of good and had many many loyal fans. I'm leaving work now but I'll list all the good Tommy has done in a later post. All the stuff your posting seems to be a personal ax your grinding towards Tommy. You're writing like he scorned you in some way.

Hey you guys...
speaking as one of Tommy Gee's REGULAR callers (I was and AM "Andrea from Brooklyn") - let me tell you something - the Tommy Gee that I heard on the air was one who had passion for EVERYTHING he talked about - he NEVER "called his show in" but was ALWAYS fully there...and he handled the callers the same way - he was warm and personable...and was sweet with the ladies...

I found this board, because I was looking to see why they let him go. I follow the station and noticed he was no longer on the roster, so I started searching in Google, and THIS forum came up.
So I signed up , & to correct you I had NO posts before this thread. Maybe you're confusing me with someone else.
No hidden agenda at all, just stating my opinion on WHY I think he is gone. How is that grinding an Axe ?
How could I possibly hurt his career ?? He did that to himself.
I also never even called in to the show. Would not waste my time that way. So you are just being paranoid and unrealistic.

I've listened to Tommy G for years and I'm no stalker just a guy who is helping lead the charge to get Tommy back on at night. It doesn't even have to be on 101.5 who doesn't care about their listeners anymore it could be any station. I work 2 jobs and Tommy G helped get me through it. We have two haters jd426 and tommygraser on this board who obviously don't like Obama and may belong to a right wing extremists group that Fox news is inflaming. That could be why these two like Dennis and Casey who just parrot Fox News. Dennis and Casey are not intelligent they are parrots.
All of us who looked forward to listening to an up to the minute live, upbeat broadcast at night are now lost and want Tommy G back. I live in an area where we had out of control wild fires and Tommy G helped get us through the night with minute to minute updates coming in from Mayors, Fire Police and residents in the area.
This is what we expect from 101.5 at night and not just old recycled shows from boring unlistenable daytime programs.

OK girls stop the bickering and get to the meat. NJ101.5 claims to be proud of NJ but doesn't understand it needs to be live and local as much as possible. Repeating old shows is not a good sign for this radio station which appears to be going into a decline. Someone wasn't doing their job if they can't afford to keep the station as live as possible. Radio as a whole is hurting themselves with moves like this and it's a shame. A rough spot for Program Director Eric Johnson to be in to say the least.

After reading back all these posts Tommy G as a late night radio talk show host should be commended for all the passion he's generating on this board. That's the fabric of a good talk show host and I'm sure he'll wind up in NY, Philly or National. Love him or not people sure did listen to him.

Tommy G's gone just accept it and do the usual bring in an intern and play music, or do an even cheaper thing how about the "Best of Big Joe Henry" zzzzzzzzzzz. Oh wait he's the big ratings magnet of the weekend so he will be axed next or wait to save money on electricity take NJ1015 off the air at midnight but don't forget the national anthem or mabe we can get a T1 line and play ESPN 97.3 from South Jersey or wait since we are in Trenton but also produce SOJO why not its Simulcast it's the same building. Or wait we could play a stunt loop letting everyone know what great shows can be heard during the day, yea thats it or maybe we could........................

I tuned in last night and the evening show 7-11 PM was the best of also. That's 10 hours or almost 1/2 the day wasn't live programming on NJ 101.5 yesterday. Very sad what has become of this radio station in a decline revenue and program wise that they will have problems recovering from. Streaming internet radio on smart phones will put a bigger strain on New Jersey 101.5 's and Millennium 's bottom line with increased competition and it's coming soon.

I listened to Tommy G every night also and found him entertaining, intelligent and very prepared.
Here's my opinion of the show.
It's alright to mention your siblings are successful, he didn't say it all the time and besides I'm successful so I'm not jeolous of it.
When he mentioned the iphone he said you can pause it like his brother does so you don't miss the show, that didn't bother me either. As for not mentioning the casino or school where some tragic things happened that also didn't bother me, those topics were few and far in between, most of the time his show was light topics. I just laughed and was entertained at night with the fast pace and high energy of his show and his callers. Most celebrities have to come across larger than life that's what draws people to them. TMZ shows celebrities getting into fancy cars all the time, that's what draws people to those celebrity shows and magazines which do very well. The station lost Craig Carton, Judi Franco and Tommy G. , love them or not they made people listen which is the fabric of a good talk host.
