Tommy lee Walker gone?????

Well after shuffling the chairs at WRWD, looks like Walker, who moved to afternoon drive with "the big show- morning show in the afternoon????" is history. No mention of his name and looks like Paty Quyn is doing afternoon drive. Or anyone else. Moving all of the so called talent around. New morning show is horrendous. Maybe they can't find anyone else to work the shifts. One slip in the spring book and many changes made, none of them for the good IMHO. Anyone know whats going on other than cheap channel is ready for the gas pipe. Paty working many hours over there; hope she's getting paid for the trouble.

Anyone???

And I guess CJ is doing a great job doing his own morning show on WRWD after leaving Tommy Lee Walker in his chair. I remember CJ when he was on the original WBPM at 94.3 when it was "B94" as a Top 40/CHR competitor to "K104" back in the 90's in afternoon drive and then he was also in mornings on "Rhythm 94.3" as a jammin' oldies station from 1999 until 2001.

He was also on WPKF's "Kiss-FM" in afternoons from 2001 until 2005 and then he was also in mornings from 2005 until 2009 as the host of "CJ's Playhouse". I don't listen to "Kiss-FM", because it sounds more hip-hop and R&B and sound rhythmic dance to it, it sounded a lot like the Hudson Valley version of "92.3 Now".

I'm so glad to hear CJ McIntyre on WRWD after he left the "Playhouse" on "Kiss-FM" two week ago. I have the aircheck of the entire show from last week.

I don't listen to Eric Hopkins on "The Wolf" in mornings, because I didn't like it at all. Thankfully CJ is a great host of WRWD's morning show. After listening to CJ, I should turn to "The Wolf" to hear Brandy Hunter in middays.

The 2 of you should get together so you can share your ramblings in person.

I, too, am missing Tommy Lee on WRWD. The morning show is boring and the on air voice is grating. I looked forward to Paty and Tommy every day. I don't know if the "Wolf" can cut it. Maybe satellite radio or just cds in the car. Hope Tommy has big plans for himself and I wish him success.

YES, I think that walkers show was very good. Found out the hard way in the radio business that one day the whole audience loves you and the next day you are out of work. They just had a big celebration for walker's 10th yr on the air, within weeks no mention of him. Think he had some personal issues that was causing him to miss work, and i'm sure cheap channel probably didn't like it if they were paying him well. The whole cheap channel cluster is hangin on a thread like every other station these days, and it shows. paty's show is the only show that has any professionalism; the rest are just awful. Dee's voice sounds like a valley girl and is like someone scratching their nails down a blackboard. Some one should tell her that the word " something" is not pronounced "suh-in"..... Whitney Allen at night is as bad; I miss Lia....

I spoke with Paty on the phone. Tommy Lee Walker is still with WRWD. His health is not so good. They gave hime some time off to get well. He is also on the web site.

I have not see Tommy's name listed on the website since Monday. Miss him in the afternoon. Just pray for him to recover.

I'm sure when they remove you from the website, that's not a good sign. I only stumbled on the show about 7-8 months ago, but with a desk job, Tommy made the afternoons a lot more enjoyable. If anyone hears any additional info, please pass it along. I'd love to hear him back on the radio...at WRWD or elsewhere.

WRWD is just not the same without Tommy Lee! I received an email on 11/22/09 from Reg Osterhoudt, Director of Programming and Operations, Clear Channel Radio of the Hudson Valley, that said that Tommy Lee has left the company. Did not give any reason, just that he has left the company. Whatever the reason, I wish Tommy all the best.

I hope Tommy comes back soon. Please keep us posted if anyone has any info on Tommy.

Heard thru the grapevine that Walker has Krone's (sp?) disease; also heard that CC gave him the shaft at the end, typical....good luck and hope your health improves!!!

I gotta say a big thank you to all of you who posted on this web-site, that (I was trained NOT to ever look at thru the early years) I really appreciate the Kind words, and Yes, I do have a serious Illness that I have been dealing with, BUT, The Good News is, Im fine as of right Now, December 16, 2009 - Im still In PENN Recovering from my Disease but ready to return to the airwaves Real soon, as There Is a LOT of RUMORS out there about me, and I understand that in this business, that sort of comes with the territory. After 18 years on the air, and 10 years on WRWD alone, I am very greatful that the fans have found my way of broadcasting compelling, and at least a little entertaining. Anyone out there in broadcast land may email me at [email protected] to CHAT about RADIO and MAYBE getting on the air somewhere around here, because I got till the end of January to make a move and then Im moving south again, the place where it all happened for me in the 1st place 18 Short years ago. Untill I Return to the airwaves Somewhere here in the valley, of course, if there's an opening, I'd love to be the one to fill it, where-ever it might be, preferrably on YOUR FM at 94.3, 97.3 and or 102.1 ASAP so Please spread the word That TLW Wants to get back at it ASAP

Please Let Them At The WOLF Know That I'll Work For Peanuts If I could Get The Chance to Work With ERIC HOPKINS every Morning. Plus workin with Brandi hunter would be an even bigger treat! - Please let someone know Im all about Teamwork and would LOVE to be there at least to keep my name over the airwaves. WRWD Erased all of my tape and I have Nothing To even show that Im even been a Radio DJ! I might as well sell shoes around here at this point! I still cant believe it what they they did to me there at clear channel - but I won't believe Its The end Till I hear it with my own ears. I personally know that there Is a LOT of life left in these pipes and would love to bring the Legions of die hard fans from my ten years @ WRWD over to another radio station and I firmly believe that My voice on the air at this moment would bring them all over to where-ever; To give to whatever station takes a chance on me. Whether that may be the WOLF or Thunder 102 - Id like to be part of either at this point. Tell whoever you need to and please don't hesitate to call me at: 845-674-6026 and I'll talk. Thanks For Listening & Most importantly, Thanks For Being On The Other End Of The Radio for 10 years becoming the fans you have become... and with any luck, "I'll see ya on the radio somewhere soon in the future" Or Im forced to keep my career alive over the net from stations down south, and I dont really wanna up-root my whole family, sell my house, that I have managed to hold on to all this time, as of right now, I'm trying to to find another great gig, If I move south, as most of you know, the life, the hours, the entire situation sucks, I'll need to have a U-Haul Truck Parked in the back yard and that is not KOOL, there are so many oppurtunities right here in my own back yard! Hope to see ya there real soon

Yes, I was diagnosed with Crohn's back in 2006 and have been dealing ever since, recently, the GI problems blossomed into Ulcerative Colitus, not fun but the Crohn's is under control. I had some thickening of the intestinal walls, and a biopsy showed a near cancerous region of growths, I had them removed and the PSA Number remains Ok as of now, I get checked every 3 months and should be in the clear. GI problems have been a problem for me since birth, as I was born with a twisted S colon and an unusually SHARP angled LG Intestine...not to get medical with you, but long story short, I cant digest anything at all... said goodbye to alchohol for good 3 years ago to be on the safe side, Helped a little but still have to be careful of every little thing I eat. whoever you are, thank you for your concern, I apppreciate it

Tommy lee glad to hear you're feeling better, miss you on wrwd. it's just not the same.it's not fun anymore.

Tommy Lee - it is good to hear from you and glad you are feeling better. It really stinks that you are not on WRWD anymore after 10 years. You are the reason I started listening to that station and you would think that they would have stuck with you since you are having serious medical problems. It would have been nice of them to say "don't worry - get better - your job is here for you". Erased all your tape - that is real nice of them.

I really hope you get another job in the Hudson Valley since country radio here is not the same without you. You are a real down to earth guy who always tells it like it is and we need you back on the air. Maybe emails to the WOLF and other stations will help. We miss you..

I hope Tommy Lee Walker would be a great fit for "The Wolf" to do mornings, and I hope CJ is doing better in mornings, but I have three airchecks of the entire show, but let see if Tommy Lee goes to "The Wolf" and forget Eric Hopkins, put Eric on weekends or fill-ins.
