Tommy the Driving Guy

I was trying to describe these short, comedic traffic blurbs that used to play on Boston AM radio back in the 80's or 90's. I believe he was called "Tommy the Driving Guy" maybe voiced by Billy West. He spoke with a heavy Boston accent and complained about the other drivers on the road.

Does anyone else remember him and does anyone have a link to old recordings or resources for the blurbs? They were hilarious (a little off-color and non-politically correct these days).

Thank you!

Tommy the driving guy was a character on WZLX in the late 80's/early 90's. It was voiced by Mike Coleman who's over at WBZ. Billy West's character on BCN was Dick Macguyver who was a toll taker. Tommy the driving guy had his own theme song. It definitely was not Billy.

Oh good! Thank you for clarifying that! I've been trying to figure it out...
