Tomorrow is April Fools Day

What can we expect from NYC radio tomorrow? Some years back WPLJ and Z-100 switched morning men for the day. On April 1, 1974 WWDJ became an all religious station which was not an April Fools joke. Any predictions?

Well...maybe with Rutgers Basketball playing tonight,
Imus will....nah, nevermind.

My favorite is when 105.1 went all 70s ,that was a great station ,for a day!Think it was 105.1 The Buzz at the time...Remember Jammin 105?I miss that too.

Maybe 'PLJ will switch to a Country format for a day (though with ratings as bad as theirs, they might not exactly be in the mood for humor). :)

WFMU (91.1 FM) here in the NYC area has swapped signals with KFJC Los Altos Hill CA for April Fool's Day. When you turn on WFMU, you hear KFJC's DJs and its regular Tuesday programs, live. And apparently if you're in the Silicon Valley and you turn on KFJC, you hear WFMU's DJs, live. The web streams are also swapped and as a result, the live playlists are giving the wrong info!

GREAT April Fool's scam! I wonder how long today this will go.

I was listening to Bob Shannon on WCBS-FM to 11 when I switched over to hear his April Fools show on WLNG. I listened to he and Connie T. Empress for 2 hours. They commemorated when the Beatles had the top 5 songs. And they discussed a web site that picks songs for the listener. After 2 hours I realized I had been had. I looked at Bob's Message Board where he posts the shows's themes. No mention of the show. The show was a repeat from last April. I shut it off at that point. Listeners had been punked on April Fools Day.

Maybe CBS-FM is adjusting the format and to make this station a lot better than WBPM's "Classic Hits 92.9" and they will add some heavy and deeper playlists with no Motown songs, just rock & pop, not R&B including these songs according to the playlist from WBPM's site:

http://www.wbpmfm.com/played.php

1. "Rebel Yell" - Billy Idol
2. "Drive My Car" - The Beatles
3. "Don't Get Me Wrong" - The Pretenders
4. "In the Evening" - Led Zeppelin
5. "So Far Away" - Dire Straits
6. "Bad Case of Loving You" - Robert Palmer
7. "All the Young Dudes" - Mott the Hoople
8. "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" - Billy Joel
9. "Taking It All Too Hard" - Genesis
10. "Young Lust" - Pink Floyd
11. "I Melty With You" - Modern English
12. "Too Late for Goodbyes" - Julian Lennon

And other songs that will fit the format for CBS-FM. Let's see if this happens!

Oops! April Fools, Haha! :D
