Inside scoop from a friend on the sales side...Toni Marie burned her bridges with management, tried to parlay an offer from Buckley into demands at CC. When CC management told her "best of luck", she burned her bridge at Buckley. When KBKO made some strategic moves in the last few weeks, she wasn't exactly on board, and was shown the door. My friend their says "good riddance"...she was a pain in the butt. Sounds like someone thinking she was WAY more valuable in her own mind than in reality. For the record...KBKO has tweaked their music...and I'm liking it. Like the slogan change too.

Funny how everyone on here has a friend of a friend on the inside that knows exactly what's going on. That's the whole reason why I started checking this site out. The arguments that some people have (with themselves, mind you) are hilarious! 
Though I do have to admit that I have been quite board with it until now. I'm just sorry that it's because some kid got caught in the revolving door that is radio. There is so much drama happening with that station that it's probably not the first shake up coming down the wire. Besides that, I happen to know Toni and although she can be outspoken, diva is not a word I would use to describe her. Say what you will but we all know how that place works.

My "insider" on the sales team is fairly new, but is well aware of the situation at CC...the sales side hates Steve King, doesn't trust him on anything he promises or says. Unfortunately, Jim Bell seems snowed by him. This I DO know...Toni Marie pissed off King a while back...and now she's gone. No one on the sales side was surprised to see her go and said "good riddance". She may be a sweet person, but unless you seem like a true team player...your days there are numbered. King has killed off KGET, KISS, KLITE, FOX SPORTS (and in my opinion ruined KDFO.) The only one he hasn't really f-ed up is KRAB...and it has NO COMPETITION.
