...whoever wrote that page is a sloppy historian -- indeed, Merv Griffin served as a guest host on "The Tonight Show," and had his own NBC daytime talk show in 1962-63 that originated from 6B, but there was never a "Tonight Show with Merv Griffin" per se. Jack Paar also used 6B for his prime time "Jack Paar Program," taping on Sundays while Johnny Carson used the studio on weeknights. This caused a bit of controversy on December 13, 1963, when evangelist Dr. Billy Graham appeared on a Paar taping for broadcast the following Friday; December 13 fell on a Sunday that year, and several other religious leaders criticised Dr. Graham for appearing on a secular TV show taped on the Christian Sabbath. Dr. Graham's response during the show was a classic: "Christ went among the publicans and sinners, and I can come with Jack Paar"...
