Then again is this any worse than Hagerstown, MD's WHAG-TV NBC 25 a few months ago when a reporter of that station had ran acrosss the street to "interview" LIVE on WHAG Shirley Phelps who was there to protest along with her family's Westboro Baptist Church. The question WHAG had asked......"how do you feel about gays having sex? "

Washington DC's WRC-TV 'NBC 4"..well they need not worry about WHAG. ;D
 
our local news channel (an indianapolis, indiana) ran a story on john melincap(an indiana favorite) getting a divorce last week and tonight his dating meg ryan(i believe).now thats important news.

whats with the news on tv now?
 
On one night several weeks ago, probably the night of the "Dancing With Stars" finale (not that I care about the show, but that could justify why the station was on where I was that night) there was a puff piece about the resurgence of Michael Vick. Interesting if Tucker Carlson were anchoring "Nightline"...

Well, some DC-area customers with Fios might: They shed WHAG from their systems a few days ago.

Yeah, because the swearing in of the new Congress and a new Speaker of the House (2nd in line to the President) isn't important enough to bother with when you have REAL news like the weight loss issue of People.

Yeah, because the swearing in of the new Congress and a new Speaker of the House (2nd in line to the President) isn't important enough to bother with when you have REAL news like the weight loss issue of People.

Yes, but, you see, the new Speaker of the House is a Republican. So, in ABC News' eyes, it's a non-story.

Simple question: What do you think the AUDIENCE is interested in? Aren't they the folks who we program to? Do you think they're more interested in the 2nd in line to the President, or how to look good for their husband? You tell me.
