Tonight's SNL (Sat 3/15)

After coming back a month ago, following the writer's strike, with a pretty strong show (that was the one with Tina Fey), tonight's show was pretty lackluster. This Jonah Hill guy was not impressive and not funny (plus, I've never heard of him).

Weekend Update was fairly strong with a guest appearance from former castmember Tracy Morgan.

Usually strong Darrell Hammond didn't appear until about 12:35 in a fairly lame skit as John McCain. This guy has been with the show for 13 years. He's the longest tenured castmember in the history of the show. Where the hell are they hiding him these days?? I like Amy Poehler but it seems like she's in every damned scene. Let's get Darrell back in there.

Mariah Carey was the musical guest, filling in for a flu-ridden Janet Jackson. She and her beautiful long legs did very well although, in her first number, she seemed to have a problem with her earpiece falling out and also had to tug once or twice on her itty bitty teeny eenie weeny skirt. Mariah better be careful she doesn't come down with something herself given how undressed she usually is. ;)

The show takes a 2 week break (they need it!) and comes back live next on April 5th. Let's hope they come back with something funny.

No, I can't say I did. ???

I must have walked out of the room and missed it. :-\

Please tell me you saw the SNL Digital Short? Whoa! ;)

Ohhhhhhhh wait....the two guys kissing?? Yes, I saw that. THAT was a funny skit. The guy who played the dad is/was a long time writer on SNL.

Actually, I thought the skit was funny. As did my wife. I guess YOU are the one who didn't get it.

Let's hope they come back with something funny.

Many would disagree with your opinion. Of course, humor is subjective. I think the show has been pretty strong since returning from the writer's strike.

I DID get it....but it could have been better.

And, OhReally, I thought "Really!?! with Seth and Amy" was one of the funniest things of the night. ;D

I also liked that segment. They've done "Really!?!" I believe twice before. The funniest one was with Michael Vick possibly having weed in a hidden compartment water bottle.

Yup, I'm pretty sure that was the first one and it had to do with Vick hiding the weed in his water bottle which was in his luggage and, of course, you can't/couldn't bring liquid onto a plane so the water bottle was seized/searched and the weed was discovered.

REALLY!?! ;D
