Tonight's Suns game on KUTP & KTAR

Until a few years ago, Suns games that were on both KUTP and KTAR featured just one set of announcers - Al McCoy and a color commentator - KTAR simulcasted the KUTP audio. In recent years, Al McCoy and his sidekick have been radio-only; Tom Leander has led the TV broadcast.

However, for tonight's game, KTAR once again simulcasted the audio from KUTP. Yet, Al McCoy and Tim Kempton were on the air at halftime and for the post-game (not sure about the pre-game.) I thought that they just didn't make the trip - but then Al said that they were in Chicago.

Does anyone know why things were setup like this for tonight's game?

From what I hear, Al was not feeling well and didnt want to fall over during the PBP. He limited his on-air time to the portions of the broadcast that TV45 wouldnt be able to provide to KTAR's version of the 'cast.
