Tony B WXXB Mornings

I heard the other day that WXXB now has a personality in the morning. Tony B is now doing the "morning show" and to be honest he sounds really good. It's still mainly music which is nice but now its coupled with a live DJ. I really like WXXB and it's a shame that the best CHR in Lafayette doesn't have the power of the 96.5 frequency. WAZY has been good in the past but right now it's not really any compitition as to who sounds better. The sad thing is I have been loyal to WAZY for a long time, I really wish they would do a better job.

I haven't had the chance to hear Tony B's morning show yet. I'll have to tune in and check it out.Yeah, B 102.9 does a pretty good job at letting their music do the talking. B's a music-intensive station with less talk, and that's always been a formula that has made the station popular around town. I don't know if it's because they're under a different ownership, but the former RadioWorks stations are really sounding good these days. KHY seems to be playing more and more new rock each day, which is probably a good direction for them to take, and B refreshed their imaging, got a new website, and a new jock lineup. The folks on McCarty are doing a great job with their latest acquisitions. Keep up the great work!By the way, any news on WASK-AM? The last time I tuned in, they were splitting simulcast to broadcast the NCAA tourney and IRL races, then simulcasting WASK-FM the rest of the time.

Thanks for checking out the show. You're right Apollo, we're still not getting in the way of the music, but it's great having a presence in the morning (even if it cuts into my sleep time). Also thanks for the kind words in how the station is sounding. I was thrilled to finally be able to switch around our lineup and get new imaging.-Tony B.

They should change the name of the mornign show to "Wake Up Wiht An Assclown." Id rather listen to elephants fart for four hours than that gude.

Maybe I kan't spell but I can do an entertaining morning show on CHR radio unlike certain other terdberglers on WXXB.

And btw, since judging from the few times weve listened in the morning it seems you dont have much of a sence of humor, kan't was a joke.

You, off my planet!

Wow! Looks like someone really doesn't like you, Tony, considering that three of their four posts consisted of calling you names and without a sense of humor. Have you fired anyone recently? Perhaps outwitted the competition a little??? ;)

Are you sure that "terdbergler" is actually a name. ;D

Why do I have a certain feeling that this person is employed...well at least for now... by AMP? Sounds like they have the caliber that AMP likes...easy to find a reason to put them out for Tuesday’s garbage pick-up. :)

It's a hoot how things have come full circle.

Now people are "surprised" to hear a live and local morning show on Lafayette radio.

How retro! I feel like I've time-travelled back to the mid-90's!!!

You're right!

The only thing we need now is the beautiful music stylings of 95.3 WEZV, we'd be all set.

So you're not from AMP... and you're definately not from Schurz...

Mummey is that you?!?!? Haha!!!

Well, if you are not AMP, and certainly not Schurz, then all that is left is the radio wannabe who has no talent or ability to actually be successful in radio and is either 1) pissed off at everyone else that IS successful, or 2) needs to get a life. Instead of bashing others, why not try improving yourself? :). TONY B: Way to get something started... keep up the good work! ;D

Hardly, hardly! I just know good or bad radio when I ehar it and yeah I hear it every morning!

What's ehar? I am not familiar with this term. If you hate this morning show so much, why don't you change the channel instead of complaining about it so much?
