Tony Bruno National Show

So after all the hooplah....when is the debut of the Tony Bruno National Show? Post-Cards went out to potential stations with no date and things have been quiet lately.

Have the Snoring News folks decided that the only way that they can win in Los Angeles is to have Bruno stay local (which I agree with)? Or did they realize that a huge majority of Bruno's Fox affiliates are owned by Clear Channel radio and would be a tough to be cleared on a large number of them? Or did Tony take the local job for a smaller rate thinking he could make the big score once they roll out the national show? and maybe SNR is not coming up with bucks Tony wants?

Lately SNR is all talk and no action. There is no Tony Bruno national show...There is no Kiley & Booms show. It's the same lineup they have had for a long time and they have virtually no clearance on any major stations outside of the O and O's and Kevin Wheeler;s overnight show that is heard on the Score in Chicago, The Ticket in Dallas, and WQAM in Miami.

i hope he goes national soon!

i thought that the release said that he would be going national in july or something to that effect. i listen to him as much as possible, but the job dictates that i leave my computer more often than not.

Doc

Sporting News has more affiliates than you may realize. Bruno's show will not be on as many stations, I don't think, as his Fox show was. I would have thinked he'd be more successful if he went the Jim Rome route and syndicated himself absent from any of the major sports radio networks and sold himself to affiliates, then he'd be back on his old stations. Although I feel as if many of his old stations will bring him back.

What did the release say about syndicating Tony? What is the time frame for him to go national? Did it say what will be on BEFORE him on The Ticket?
