Tony Collins aka Domino- where is he these days??

If it's the same guy I'm thinking of, he's at La Kalle 107.9 (which was at 99.1 until last week) in Dallas. I believe he left (I'm not sure if it was voluntary or not) KHKS for KKDL (later KZZA) 106.7. KZZA downsized, and he found himself at KFZO 99.1/KESS 107.9.

Holy Cow! Itz him. Talk about a make-over. Domino was beefy, barrel-chested Tony Collins in the 80's. Awesome. Speed mouthed CHR night guy. Worked his way up to nights at KIIS then to KHKS Dallas. Tony (real name) is an Italian guy from Colorado. Now, he looks 100% latino.
At KKYK he was posessed...focused. No one dared enter the control room during his shift. Snider had a weird mocassin wearing, Jerimiah Johnson looking guy named Blue who did the trash. He made the mistake of bustin in the control room. Tony picked him up by the belt with one hand, opened the door with his other hand and full-body tossed him outta the room.

When I was working at the old Star 102.1 in 96 here in the Rock, I took a road trip to Dallas to watch the master in action at Kiss.

I was greeted at the complex with "dude, I got two minutes before the song is over!" (this was way before automation). For 4 hours I watched himhover over the board like a mother hen guarding her chicks.

He constantly worked the phones, pulled out info you thought not possible. The phones never stopped ringing and most of the calls were to talk to him.

He ran two remote breaks, with a winner of a hundred bucks in cash, in between the two seamlessly.

After going thru a 6 pack of mtn dew and another aircheck thrown into a large cardboard box, we hopped in his Viper and headed down to Bennigans to quaff a few before he hit the globe nightclub for a live remote...

I give him the credit for helping me land at KJ-103
