Monday, respiratory complications. Obit in Thursday's DMN, pg B13. A truly great broadcaster. He was just 68.

Nice obit, but they didn't mention his creation of and involvement with the long-running "Staff Meeting" at KVIL. Probably one of the better public affairs programs ever.

And not familiar with him ever doing "Music Till Dawn." That was Hugh Lampman's longtime gig, but perhaps Tony took over those last couple of years when Hugh departed for KVIL.

Sorry to hear about his passing. I remember him best for his morning gig with Johnny Michaels, the late Dick Hitt and company at KNUS, and for "Staff Meeting."

Tony was a great guy and put his actions where his mouth was. I hope he and Dick Hitt are enjoying their reunion.

I liked Tony. Anyone remember the incident in 1984 when he and David Johnson(stock analyst KRLD/WFAA/KERA) were accused of tearing down Democratic candidates signs in a neighborhood? It was settled quietly plus one or both were ticketed for it.

Music Till Dawn circa Fall, 1966. Not sure how long it lasted but it was good under his leadership while it did.

That makes sense. Seems like Hugh went to KBOX-FM at the end of 1965 before he went to KVIL later.
