A good friend of mine Tony "Hammer" Hamilton, former morning man on 97.9 & 98.9 The Bear, passed away yesterday morning of heart failure. He was a good guy and a great friend! He will be missed. Rest in peace Hammer!
 
His death has hit the Texas market he worked in real hard. Hammer was morning man at KIOX-FM in the Victoria,Texas market. Many, many tributes to him from his listeners have been posted on the KIOX Facebook page today.
 
Hammer was one of the best talents ever in this market..He was the Bear while he was there. I hate to hear this...After he left the Bear where did he go??? Damn I am shocked and sad..Its been a rough month for jocks Eric O Day..Raymond Rouse... John Drake.. and now Hammer....Very sad...
