Seems like anyone hired from outside the area that gets a gig at WUSA should definitely do a one year lease, not buy.
The challenge with local TV news in any market, is it takes sometimes years to develop a consistent following. WUSA keeps the revolving door spinning, hoping a mix of talent and personality will resonate with the viewers, lighting some sort of ratings rocket that will propel them into at least number two. Perkins was that seasoned talent surrounded by Millennials. Now all they're left with are little known Millennials. Each time they make a change, it's like a three year reset timer is started all over again.
