Tony Pike question

So Tony Pike was let go from iHeart Cincinnati / WCKY 1530 as part of their most recent round of nationwide cuts. After two weeks he was back on the air. Does anyone know how iHeart Cincy was able to rehire him? Glad to hear him back, btw.

I always thought it was at least to clear Fox Sports programming in the market. I am in Columbus so WLW is it for me in terms of Cincinnati signals, and I listen often, but 1530 seems like -the- sports station with a lot of local programming and being the Bengals' true AM flagship, plus it's had ESPN for ages. 1360 is just kind of there, clearing Fox Sports and airing Westwood One NFL ... at least when WLW doesn't grab the games.
Seemed like that was the plan for Sunday until the winter storm came through, and the NFL games that were supposed to be on 700 went to 1360 instead.
