Tony Santiago's Dance Nation

I was floored that someone remembered this! :)

Tony Santiago's Dance Nation (TSDN) ran from 1997 to 2000. It was an a "Yahoo" of sorts with dance music links (covering the dance genres, artists, record labels, clubs, industry, etc.) We had about 2,300 links at a peak. And this was at a time when the web was still considered a "new" thing.

The site averaged about 2,000-3,000 hits daily. However the ads that we had didn't cover server costs and personal matters came up whereas I couldn't give the site justice anymore, I had to end it.

I did find remnants of the site on archive.org

We did have the Philly Dance Radio Coalition link once but I haven't heard from the guy since that time. He must be real happy that the HD-2 thing is happening down there!

Off hand I don't know. I should have kept to the personal angle of it but I was caught up with the whole "gotta make some money on the web" mentality back then that I just lost the fun angle to it.

I am sure there are many dance music sites with a devoted amount of links to them. Or you could always Yahoo or Google up some.
