Does anybody know where Tonya J. Powers is now? She did Memphis Morning News on WREC radio with Craig Robbins for two or three years. Haven't heard her on the air in several months. Is she still in radio?

Yep, Tonya left WREC for a news/assignment editor position at WPTY a couple of years ago. So far as I know, she's still there. I hope so. Tonya is very talented and one of the nicest people I've ever worked with. She has great wit and a wonderful personality. The move allowed her to be more involved in being a mom than eary shift/split shift work at WREC was giving her. It was a good move all around and I applauded Clear Channel then and still do for making it happen.

Kudzu 102 eh? Ha! That's where I cut my teeth as well.... Well it was just FM 102 and owned by Mayor Kerry Hill when I worked there. I wonder if she worked on the same old Harris/Gates console? LOL The control room was in dire need of a re-do when I left for the big city of Selmer, TN! Ha! Small Mid-South ain't it?
