I noticed that too!! the guy was 'free climbing" and not hooked in at times.... My pulse started racing for fear the guy would fall!

What's the tallest tower in Florida, anyone, anyone?

For TV it is the WTVY-TV Tower in Bethlehem. Which is at 1,901 Feet and markets the Dothan, Al Market. I don't know about radio however. I belive WHPT out of Sarasota has a tall one though.

WFLA-TV has a very tall tower. I think it's over 2000'.

WHPT's tower is 1,624 feet above ground while the Bithlo tower, which houses several Orlando class C FMs, is 1,565 feet above ground. These are the tallest radio towers in Florida that I am aware.

One of the WTVT, Tampa towers is 1589'.

You can go state-by-state here. Most of them are tv/radio towers. Florida's tallest is 1901 ft.

Damn! And here I thought my record climbing height of 480 feet was the coolest yet. That was pretty cool, yet a little scary to watch.
