Too Many All Christmas stations in the Burgh too early

Wish FM went all christmas last week. LTJ is going all christmas today and 3WS will probably go all christmas sooner or later. What happened to the days of just going all christmas 48 hours before the holiday?Don't get me wrong, christmas is my favorite holiday of the year because of family and friends. I don't mind christmas songs mixed in at this time of the year, but in my opinion, I don't want to hear it all day for a month and a half.

I read on another board that 3WS isn't going "All-Christmas" this year. They are going to mix in Christmas with their Classic Hits format. Is it true? If so, then this would mean LESS Christmas music this year.

I did read that as well Dave. I think that's a good thing for 3WS as their ratings have been pretty good over the last year and probably want to keep them up.

ZPT usually throws in a couple XMAS tunes each hour, too.

It's a surprise WZPT is not planning to go all Christmas. Is it still safe to say that WTZN was the first to go all Christmas?

I don't think that counts since it was a stunt.

Time to take the Christmas playing stations off my presets and not return them to their places until mid January...

Amen to that Corporate. I listen to my ipod in the car.
