Too Much Idol Coverage on Tv Guide Network

I was wondering if anybody is annoy by the excess of American Idol coverage on the TV Guide Network recently. It seems every time I check the listings on the channel, there's always some sort of American Idol coverage going on. Perhaps, I'm alone in this since I don't care much for that show. Thoughts?

I don't watch the TV Guide Channel but I believe it essentially becomes the American Idol Channel during Idol season from February-ish through the finale in May.

You're out of luck until then.

I think that there is too much American Idol coverage everywhere, period.

I also think that American Idol is too much.

Although I hate the show, I think FOX should move IDOL to sister network MY NETWORK TV. Maybe that would give that network the ratings shot in the arm it needs.

By the way does anyone watch the programming at the top of the TV Guide Network? Reruns of Celebrity Fit Club, Reruns of Jimmy Kimmle, and two stupid game show. That's in addition to all the stupid IDOL Chat, Realty Stars Where are they now, coverage of The Red Carpet of all the awards shows, etc.

So don't watch. I don't. Problem solved.

Agreed! With the electronic programming guide offered with digital cable, there's absolutely no reason to ever stop at TVGC. So, I'm not the least bit annoyed by it because I never see it! ;D

It's threads like this that make me pine for the old Prevue Guide...

(cue cheesy music... "We are what's on.")

I very much agree. All I watched was the Prevue Channel back in the 90s.

Agreed on moving Idol to My Network TV. At least there, I wouldn't have to deal with it preempting House's regular Tuesday night slot but I doubt they'll do it.

I guess I'll stop watching this channel altogether like so many have suggest it since it has become such an E! rip-off now.

I just read somewhere yesterday that 'Idol Tonight' comes back starting this week so there's another Idol show to tick you off.

I think star search is better,no Simon to deal with.TVG was good until Amercan Idiot,
thats no typo.taken the channel over, anyway Corruptcast put TVG channel on digital
tier now, now I've dont have to worry about watching that crap now.

I share the disdain for the programming, but how, exactly, did you have to watch it no matter what service level the channel is on? If they run something you don't like, you don't watch.

Clearly, it's doing something that TV Guide is pleased with, or one could guess there would be something else on. How, then, is it a burden that something you don't like is on?

When I had TVG I use to enjoy the awards specials,It's a change from E! channel.
I enjoy the E! channel now.I agree on if you don't like, you don't watch. change the channel.same thing goes for radio if you don't like, you don't listen. change the station.

Yeah, as I said - I don't like it, I think its crap, and I never ever watch the channel. Thus, I don't tend to complain about it either. A bit of a waste of bandwidth, though not as bad as some of the other garbage that's foisted on cable subs.

One more time, in case I wasn't clear before. I won't watch the channel anymore.

I will think twice before starting another thread in the future.
