1. CNN -174,000
2. Hallmark -147,000 (say what Martha?)
3. USA -110,000
4. VH1 -96,000
5. Spike -84,000
6. Lifetime -67,000
7. Fox News -63,000
8. TBS -37,000
9. HLN -33,000
10. FX -31,000

others that lost in order: #11 Discovery, SyFy, SPD (what's that), Versus, Golf, CNBC, Soap Net,
TV Guide Network, GAC (what's that), Style, Food Network, CMT, truTV, National Geographic,
VH1C

Of all the services listed losing viewers the only one I watched (when I had sat) was HLN. One of the reasons I ditched sat was because I only watched very few of the total number of services. And until ala carte subscriptions are available I won't be back.

I wonder if I counted as 1 in every category? ;D

I have not had cable TV since 1993.....I am starting to think that maybe the loss can be attributed to the people ditching their cable/sat.....it seems to be an easy $600 a year to fork over for it.

So I wonder if these news networks losing audience is proof that the current, sensationalized news model is not working?

I'm not surprised to see Spike down, either. Unless you love Star Wars or MMA, there's nothing to watch. Since it's a network for men, why not have some programming appealing to a more modern man instead of the grunt/fart/boobs/lightsabers programming on there now? Class it up a bit.

Interesting that msnbc made it into neither the losers or gainers category. Did they stay flat, or did they just have nothing left to lose? :D

I pretty much quit watching USA when Mr. Monk left.

As for Spike, I used to watch it, but when they changed their name and
direction they seemed to "dumb up" their network.
