Top 10 FM signals from Mexico

It was time to compare some FM signals from Mexico, and rank them according to relative strength. This time the analyzer was an Agilent 4440 series, with it's stellar 160db dynamic range, and a price to match- $75k. The strongest signal was the delta , and lesser ones rated by how many
db down they were from that.
#1.= 91X
#2.= 92.5, -2db
#3.= 91.7, -4db
#4.= 90.3, -8db
#5.= 99.3, -11db
#6.= 104.5, -12db
#7.=(tie) 99.7 + 105.7, -15db
#8.=(tie) 98.9 + 104.9, -22db
Although #1,2&4 are licensed for 100kw, 90.3 had "problems" last year, and the signal hasn't been back up.As for #2, anyone familiar with the db
scale sees they are down, power-wise to 91X, by around 60%. 104.9 & 105.7's signals changed the most of any, at different analyzer/ locations
within the lab.

What antenna did you use to gather the data? Did you employee any correction factors to account for the respose of the antnenna vs. frequency (as one would do in an FIM-71, for example). Just curious. That Agilent is one nice instrument.

Just did this as a relative signal test, and of course the levels varied, depending on my location in the big room. Kinda like using a Walkman
radio, but a little more expensive...
Used a 30" vertical, and really didn't want to try ranking ALL T.J.'s stations, as some are blocked by land mass to the K. Mesa location.
91X is so strong...another case of metric kilowatts??

91X operated for years with an "optimized" Jampro 10 bay antenna. It had parasitic reradiators and got an additional 5dB gain. It was replaced a couple of years ago with an ERI rototiller and was probably range tested to make optimum use of the mounting structure, but neither ERI nor Jampro will do the kind of "optimization" they used to do years ago.
