It seems to be a popular stategy in europe, Why hasnt anyone here tried this here. KTU, dayparts to a point, but some of the european Chr, and hot ac stations go all dance, or eclectic specialty programing at night, with a totally different format during daytime hours.

I must say I loved it when CKEY did the Modern rock thing during the day and went to the "Nightside" all dance at night. To me you got the best of both worlds. God I miss that station

Modern Rock WLIR did this for awhile with the LIR after Dark segment or LIR After Hours, they were a mish most of Modern AC/Hot Ac/ Modern rock during the day & dance at night

WBLI also on Long Island was somewhat like this back in the lmid to late 90's shortyl after they flipped to CHR in 96. In which they were never all dance, but were a very dance friendly CHR at night (they still tend to be one of the more dance friendly CHR's around)

WHTG in Eatontown, NJ, was dance friendly in the early 1990's. It was an awesome format-- as far as I know, anything "cutting edge" would be put in there-- which included a lot of dance.<P ID="signature">______________

They were similar to the late 90's LIR
