Las Vegas needs a Top 40 Station, I know KLUC says they are The #1 Hit Music Station,but they don't play HIT MUSIC they play hip-hop & rhythmic tracks not pop or rock.

why don't we turn x107.5 into a top 40 station when howard is done....

That is ´cause today´s CHR is hip hop and rhythmic, not Britney and friends.

That would do damage to both Mix AND KLUC. Far too much overlap for a cluster.

True, but two fellow Infinity stations stand to lose with "Jack" on the scene. One is eXtreme radio. But the most vunerable station is probably Mix. I'm kind of surprised Infinity let them do this one (or did they force them to do it?). Cluster-wise, it really doesn't make sense.

I don't think Jack will take away much audience from Extreme radio. The young males that listen to the hard alternative music on KXTE probably wouldn't be familiar with or interested in most of the music Jack plays.
Here's the question though. Would Extreme have been the better station for Infinity to put Jack on than Lite??? I have always heard KMZQ billed decently, plus how well will KXTE do when Howard is gone in a few months? This choice of stations will never cause the controversy of New York (WCBS-FM instead of WNEW) or Chicago (WJMK instead of WCKG), but it's still something to think about.

It was a good move to put Jack on 100.5, so Star 102.7 would dump '80s in favour of CHR. '80s is dying, thanks to Jack.

Cluster wise it does.....at least from the stand point that Infinity has control over it. If Star flipped to this format or something close then Xtreme and Mix would have really been hurt. Then again, maybe they were forced to flip.....who knows.(I'm sure there are people on this board who will claim to know).
