Top 40 or CHR rhythmic on the Cape?

Cape listeners will now be tuning to out of market stations to be hearing their favorite Top 40, hip-hop, and R&B music. Fun 107 (107.1) in New Bedford, has a decent signal throughout most of the Cape except near the 107.5 WFCC tower in Brewster, and it's the closest sound to what the Rose was. Jam'n 94.5 can also be heard well on the Cape except near the 94.3 WCAI tower in Brewster. I actually thought 106.1 WCOD would be the new Top 40, or at least take a more Top 40 and rhythmic approach, but still the same for now.

92 PRO FM

Yes, I did think of 92 PRO FM and Kiss 108, but they are not mainly rhythmic like 96.3 The Rose was. Cape listeners who liked the Rose will most likely choose either Fun 107 or Jam'n.

Most of 96.3 The Rose listeners will turn on to Fun 107 , if they can get 107 signal . Pro and Kiss Hell No . Maybe The Rose listerners have to settle with avg Kiss 94.5 ( Jamn ).

Hello? Demographics! I can't think there's a huge CHR Rhythmic demo out there is there? Perhaps Memorial Day to Labor Day are the exceptions.

Cape Cod's yearly population is around 230,000 according to Wikipedia. I am sure there were a few thousand kids, teens, young adults, and some adults that listened to 96.3 The Rose who reside on the Cape, which was very close to a CHR Rhythmic. With the rock saturated formats of many Cape Cod radio stations, it was nice to have a station that played dance music and some hip-hop and R&B. Listen to 99.9 WQRC, 101.1 and 93.5 Frank FM, Cool 102 (101.9) and 106.1 WCOD and a lot of the music you hear is rock, and then you have the actual rock station, Pixy 103 (102.9). Demographics must show that many Cape Cod listeners like rock. The nice thing about Cape Cod is that you can also hear out of market stations with a decent signal throughout most of the area, if you don't like the music the locals are playing.Â

Forget about FUN107 on most of the cape. Translator W296BR on 107.1 basically kills that on a good chunk of the central and eastern cape cod.
