Top 5 Austin morning shows

According to Gary Dinges' column on austin360.com:

1. Bobby Bones - KASE
2. Krash Kelly - KBPA
3. El Show de Don Cheto - KLZT
4. All Things Considered - KUT
5. Steve & Amy - KFMK

The interesting takeaway is that Bobby Bones and Don Cheto are totally outsourced/syndicated shows.
KUT's morning show is mostly network but has a large local news component.
Haven't listened to Steve & Amy enough to know if it's syndicated, but it also appears on a sister station in Seattle.
But not all syndicated works. Elvis Duran on KHFI is not among the top shows in Austin.
Anyone surprised by the top morning show list?

The very few times I tuned into Bobby Bones on KASE I mainly hear music or commercials. It's nothing like it use to be. I almost never hear the new show on KHFI any more. I mainly flip from KVET to KOKE most of the time now going to work.

The Horn is obviously spending some money on its programming, morning as well as afternoon. I can't help but wonder if these shows bring in enough in advertising to pay their way, given their rather small ratings.

All sports usually outbills its ratings share significantly. Plus, you don't really need numbers to sell sports. It's one of the few formats you can usually just sell right out of the box, which is why it's grown so much over the last 20 years or so.

Surprised not at all with Krash Kelly on KBPA. His 9 @ 9 has minimal talk and music many times from great years like 1979, 1991, 1974.This should be a hint for Austin to have a decent Classic Hits station again. Almost #1. I wonder where the Tom and Don Show you know the show with Sargent Sam from KLBJ-AM ranks?
