Since when did I say in that post Maroon 5 and Hinder WEREN'T HITS? As far as I'm concerned they both have a shot at the top 10.
 
Personally I can't stand Avril's new song b/c the lyrics are so damn crappy. It would have sounded so much better if it was in a language I didn't understand, LOL.

She's also the only singer whose voice sounds younger and younger over the years. It's as if she's struglling with hitting puberty :p

The Rhianna new song is HOT. The beat's amazing, and it's got a great melody. Yeah it's stupid that it's centered around an umbrella (rella ella, LOL), but it's just good Pop. Top 40 radio in Europe (From France to Bulgaira) is already all over it.

Hinder's records to me are guilty pleasure records. Their songs work well with the upper end of the CHR's female demo if I'm not mistaken.

As for Ne-Yo, the song's intro is great for CHR radio, but the song itself is just koay IMO. Still a good fit for the format.

Maroon 5's nwe one - definitely a SMASH.

Pink's record "U & Ur Hand" has been a girly anthem for months and months now. I'm surprised it took so long for so many of the country's top CHRs to jump on it. It's gpt the perfect chorus.

I beg to differ. It sounds like trash compared to "SOS" or "Pon de Replay".

Maybe a top five because its Maroon 5, but the jam is uncatchy to me. It doesn't seem to have that killer hook that grabs the listener and it kinda just there.

Hinder has found that niche type hit...Country could do a workable cover of these types of lyrics... The above statement on the upper end females of CHR loving it, is right on.. The new rock/alt kids are spinning it on their IPODs, as well.. (my station is that format)... I let their tastes dictate, not mine... :D

Already has. "Lips of an Angel" has been a hit for Jack Ingram on the country chart. My sister station is still spinning it in A

I'm not suprised one bit Hinder is as successful as they are right now. They are nothing more than an edgier Nickelback. But bands like those always get good success.

I still think "Better Than Me" is a top 10, but I wish it weren't...

Another brilliant song from M5. It's clear with their sophomore album that they know their sound and thank goodness it's very very original from anything anyone else is doing. This album will sell even more copies than Jane, I'm sure.

Kind of odd and a bit different from anything else. Still something very unoriginal but with a Rihanna and Jay-Z combo, it'll still do well. I'm sure it'll float around 10-15 in the charts for a month or so.

Ne-Yo did a Kelly Clarkson cover?! Kidding. Very good R&B song with some solid singing and production. Sentimental tracks seem to do very well, and with a hitmaker like Ne-Yo, it'll have no problems on multiple charts.

Known as the sequel to "Lips of an Angel", this would be about the break up after the singer cheats on his girlfriend. If you have seen Hinder live, you'll know what I mean when I say they are like a modern day Motley Crue, but with a lot more rock ballads. They'll be around for a while...

Please actually gather some facts before saying I know nothing about CHR. The post was all opinion and I didn't mention anything NOT being a hit, other than I don't see how "U + Ur Hand" got so high. And if you look around the site, I'm not the only person who thinks that.
