I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Jamie Dupree who works/worked for Cox for many years. He was based on Capitol Hill and filed for all the (now) CMG stations. He was also on many of their talk shows as their DC guy. Incredible journalist.
CMG has told him his position is done. He's now packing up his office at the Capitol.
If you know the story behind Jamie, you'll know about how he lost his voice from a rare disease. Back in 2016 Cox (prior to the Apollo investment) worked with a company in Scotland to develop his voice, via computer, so he could still do his radio pieces. Sad that now that this investment company owns the group, they are making cuts - not unlike iHeart, Entercom and others.
His complete story is here:

I truly hope he lands a good job somewhere. He's a top notch guy who isn't bias. A great addition to any station or group.

Jamie Dupree leaving longheld role after 30 years
Dupree has not been able to recover his voice so Cox has been using a robotic version the past couple of years.
