Tornado in Hattiesburg

By now you have heard about the tornado that hit Hattiesburg. I first learned about it on the Weather Channel. Later, I tuned to WDAM's web site as they were gathering local information about the Tornado. It seems that WDAM was doing a pretty good job of covering the storm. Especially when Saturday night live's Sunday night special was on their sister station, Channel 3 in Jackson, WDAM was in news coverage mode. After all, this was no time for laughs when the tornado hit Hardy St. or close to it and damaged USM. Has anyone down there on Radio switch to disaster mode to cover the storm?

I'm too far for radio for the most part but I also watched WDAM's live coverage, mostly after it was over, and applaud them for going all-coverage. The pictures that have been trickling in look really bad. Shame to see such a bad thing happen to such a good city.
